1 Month Detox Diet

I must say it does feel good to have a month under my belt. It really is not that bad once you get over the initial sugar starch cravings. I had my doctor appointment today. I spent way too much time there and did not get as far as I would have liked but that is the nature of the beast. He put off starting my antibiotic Lyme treatment for a few days. He wanted to try a low dose of daily cortisone to help boost my adrenals and try to improve my energy. I also have to do a comprehensive stool analysis which we should have done to begin with. This is designed to show the presence of parasites. The nice thing about this is I will be eating fairly normal for the next couple of days and not taking my supplements. The test wants a “normal” environment. I will still be avoiding my allergy foods.

Day 28

I am excited this morning, and nervous. I see the doc in a few hours. So many questions about my detoxification. I probably won’t have time for them all. Yesterday was little better. I worked and was not totally wiped out in the evening.
Breakfast: Detox Protein Shake
Snack: Hummus and Carrots
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Pea Protein Shake
Dinner: Chicken in the Crock Pot with Broccoli
Snack: Goat Yogurt

Detox Day 27

I am wondering more about other issues besides Candida. I was really fatigued in the evening. I made it to the gym but I don’t have the energy to lift as much I have recently. My digestive system is also acting up. Lots of rumbling. I also have a sort spot on the lower right side of my abdomen. I see the doctor tomorrow so this is good. I am supposed to start my Lyme treatment. I have lots of questions concerning this recent detoxification experience.
Breakfast: Detox Protein Shake
Snack: Celery and Almond Butter
Lunch: Roast Beef Salad
Snack: Carrots and Hummus
Dinner: Turkey Breast and Cauliflower Mash

Diet Day 26

I have been thinking more today about the possible co-infections I may have. When discussing Lyme treatment this comes up. Really anytime your immune system has been compromised for some time you are more open to pathogens, virus, bacteria…. Anyway, my gut has been acting up. I feel like the Candida should be well under control by now with the detox diet and antifungal I have been doing. Parasites on the other hand are harder to eradicate. The Candida diet is great for setting the stage for this treatment as well. If I have other parasites I know I have been making their “home” uncomfortable.

Breakfast: Detoxification Protein Shake
Snack: Chicken and Carrots
Lunch: Pea Protein Shake with some Broccoli and left over Beef
Snack:
Dinner: Pan Seared Tilapia and Collard Greens
Snack: Goat Yogurt with Stevia and Vanilla

Detox Day 25

I had a pretty strong day yesterday. . My attitude has been positive. Depression and anxiety can be a side effect of detoxification and the detox diet. I started doing a technique known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a great thing to work into your daily routine. Your emotional state can make or break your health and if you want the most from all the work you put into a detox, why not spend a few minutes on the mind as well?
Breakfast: Detoxification Protein Shake
Snack: Goat Yogurt with Stevia and Vanilla
Lunch: Left over Roast Beef and Salad
Snack: Protein Shake
Dinner: Left over Pork and Salad

Detox Diet Day 24

Today was decent, uneventful mostly. Just another day of detoxification. I worked most of the day on the computer. The detox diet is pretty easy these days, although when I do get a little craving my mind starts thinking, hey I have been good, a little chocolate won’t kill me. But I want to wait at least until 30 days and also I see the doc then.

Breakfast: Detox Protein Shake
Snack: Celery and Almond Butter
Lunch: Turkey Burger and Broccoli
Dinner: London Broil (without the marinade )

Diet Day 23

Yesterday was not so great. I feel the detoxification was draining me. My energy was down. I did make it to the gym but I could not do my normal about of weight. In the evening I also had some diarrhea which I have not really had. It could be the new supplements I added to my diet starting 2 days ago. 2 things my doctor has suggested that I did not purchase right away. These 2 are from Researched Nutritionals and are used for many different chronic fatigue and related protocols. NTfactor Energy and Ribos Cardio. Both excellent unique products.

I also did an ionic foot detox. I know the information available on them is shaky but I know practitioners and patients that swear by them. I know it can stir up things in the body and you can exhibit detox symptoms in the following days. I don’t think it can hurt.

Diet Day 20

Today was bit slow but I feel that is par considering I worked a long and late night. I am wondering about my food allergies though. As a chef, just part time at the moment, I am still sometimes tasting things I have made. Just as little as possible but I wonder if it is going to set back my elimination of allergic foods to square one. Remember, Immuno Labs says it takes at least 2 months for the cells memory to reset so that it will not react with a food such as yeast. We shall see.
